This DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) Policy explains how to report copyright infringement on WeatherGeekz.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on WeatherGeekz infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following information:
Required Information
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the specific content on WeatherGeekz that you claim is infringing, including its location (URL).
- Your contact information, including your name, address, email, and phone number.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Submitting a Notice
Send your DMCA takedown notice to our designated copyright agent. We will review and respond to valid notices, typically by removing or disabling access to the infringing content.
Counter-Notification
If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include identification of the removed content, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed in error, and your consent to local jurisdiction.
Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA, we will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyrighted material.
