Storm Preparation Tips

Build an Emergency Kit

Water (1 gal/person/day), non-perishable food, flashlight, batteries, first-aid, medications, and copies of important documents for at least 72 hours.

Make a Family Plan

Decide where to meet, how to communicate, and an out-of-area contact. Practice your plan twice a year.

Know Your Alerts

A Watch means conditions are favorable. A Warning means it's happening now — take action immediately.

After the Storm

Check for injuries, avoid downed power lines, document damage for insurance, and never use generators indoors.
